Judge ruled Tuesday, July 30, 2013, that Penn State’s then-president Graham Spanier, retired university vice president Gary Schultz, then-athletic director Tim Curley will be tried on charges of cover-up, perjury, obstruction, endangering the welfare of children, failure to properly report suspected abuse, hiding evidence from investigators and lying to the grand jury, and conspiracy from the case against Coach Jerry Sandusky, a former Penn State assistant football coach, who was convicted for sexually preying on and abusing boys.
